Grooming and Dress Code Information
- HAIR
- Ballet- Up off the neck and away from face in a secure bun
- Jazz- Securely up off the neck
- JEWELRY
- No dangly or large jewelry of any kind. No bracelets, watches, chokers or
necklaces
- ATTIRE
- Pre-Ballet 1-3, Levels 1 and 2- Pink non-shiny leotard, pink tights, pink ballet
slippers.
- Level 3 - Light blue non-shiny leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers.
- Levels 4&5 - Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, pointe shoes.
- Level 6 & up- Choice of leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, pointe shoes
& snug fitting warmers.All students enrolled at PBS- no loose shorts or tee shirts of
any kind allowed. All warmers should be removed for center. Skirts may be worn for
repertoire or rehearsal.
- Jazz 1- Black sleeveless unitard, socks, black jazz shoes with suede soles. In summer
short unitards are allowed.
- Jazz 2-3 - Black leotard and jazz pants, black suede soled jazz shoes.
- Jazz 4&5- Neat non baggy dance wear.No hip sweatshirts.
- Adult Ballet- Neat dance or exercise wear and ballet slippers.
- Boys, Ballet- White tee-shirt, black tights, white socks, white ballet slippers.
- Boys, Jazz- Black dance pants or shorts, white shirt, white socks, black suede soled
jazz shoes.
- Modern- Black leotard, black tights, bare feet, hair up, bun
prefered.
- Hip-Hop-Exercise wear, jazz sneakers.
- Pilates- Exercise wear, bare feet or socks.
- No chewing gum. Dancers will also behave respectfully of their fellow dancers &
teachers in class, in the dressing area and lobby, and by cleaning up after themselves.
