
Kimberly Drake, from San Mateo, won a full scholarship from Dance Arts Center where she studied Jazz, Tap, and Ballet under the direction of Berle Davis. She has performed in "Annie Get Your Gun", "Grease", and "A Chorus Line" with San Mateo Civic Light Opera.
Kimberly founded Professional Ballet schools’ jazz division in 1990, having previously taught pre-ballet and jazz for ages 8 through adult since 1984 at the Foster City Recreation Center and Dance Arts Theatre
She started the Performing Group "Instep" in 1998. They have performed at Paramounts Great America at the Santa Clara fairgrounds, the Boy Deep Dance Show “H.E.A.T.”, and at the San Jose Convention Center.
She is also very active in the East Bay Area dance community. She spent two years teaching at San Ramon Club Sport health center, and San Ramon Valley Dance Academy. In some of her spare time, she co-choreographed “Music Man” for Cal-High high school.
She enjoys judging talent for dance scholarships, and also has participated as an Artistic judge for Ice skating competitions.
Kimberly is currently teaching jazz for several after-school enrichment programs in the San Ramon Unified School District.
